STAMP and skit info

El martes y el miercoles de la proxima semana vamos a estar en el laboratorio de computadoras en salon 16 en el sotano.  Pueden ir directamente a salon 16 y no a nuestro salon normal.

Some students have finished quickly, while others have needed the whole class period.  I can not guarantee that you will have much time with your group in class that day.  You will read chapter 3 after you finish the exam.  Then if there's time, work with your group.

The class after that, you will be performing in front of your class and will receive the MAJORITY of you grade.  You should be prepared that day with all props and lines totally memorized.  This is a final dress rehearsal and it should be exactly how you plan it to be on the big performance day.

This means that over the next week, you need to MEMORIZE YOUR LINES!

Thursday, May 19, 2016

viernes y lunes

In class you will be practicing in front of the Special Education Life Skills class.  Bring all props and costumes with you, have your staging worked out and be prepared to practice in front of people!  Afterwards, we will debrief back in the classroom.

Monday, May 16, 2016

para el miercoles y jueves

Your script should be finished at this point.  Fri is the practice in front of the Special Education Life Skills class!

MEMORIZE your lines!

BRING props and costumes and a bag to leave your things in for your group!

para el lunes y martes

Van a recibir dos sellos por su tarea el lunes y martes.

1- show that you have your dialogue done and the book is edited.  If you are a narrator, you will want to consider rewriting it with corrections all included and possibly a larger font so that you do not stumble over your words.  Additionally, narrators need to have the dialogue of everyone so that you know exactly when you are supposed to read and not cut others off.

2- each person needs to bring some sort of prop or costume to contribute for their group

Next class, you will begin rehearsing and practicing staging.

el dialogo para las presentaciones (el jueves/el viernes)

You should be working with your group on writing dialogue for your skit.  On Thurs/Fri, I want to see that you group is done with dialogue, so you can start practicing and memorizing it.

Other things to do:
-correct grammar errors in the story
-how will the characters act it all out / where will be stand / what will they do
-props (this could also be effects, such as music or scenery)
-costumes
-humor
-is everybody equally involved?
-does everyone have a chance to get an A in your group?  (reference the oral rubric)

You will have half of each class during the next few classes to prepare.  We need to talk about the skit date to avoid outside conflicts.  It looks like you will  have half of 2-3 class periods to work.

teacher project examples

el ejemplo de Maestra Dyer:  Maestra Dyer includes some slides with the preterite.  She used the preterite to talk about specific events from her childhood that happened once, not the repeated events/actions of her childhood.  Make sure that you are using the correct one (imperfecto) to explain the repeated parts of your childhood and what you were like.

el ejemplo de Profa Wisher:  Este ejemplo es muy basico.  It does not include the comparisons or the frequency words in the text.  However, Profa gave the comparisons and more details as she spoke in her example presentation.  Your writing grade does need to include all of the functions on your writing rubric.  However, there is the option to omit some of the details on your PPT and include the extra details orally.  It is better presentation practice to not read off of a PowerPoint word for word.  It is also harder.  But feel free to choose this option if you are feeling brave and want a challenge.

Unas fechas importantes
